New Series: FUNetic Friday

Original Post: October 30th, 2020

Hello everyone! We are excited to announce a new weekly series we will be doing called FUNetic Fridays! Naming credits go to Syd René. This occurred at our biweekly meeting where anyone can attend—thank you Syd!

Every Friday we will be posting a fun fact or cool findings about anything speech and hearing related, or a post about bringing awareness to certain speech and hearing communities. You can join in too! Let us know if you have anything you would like to share and send us the link! That way it stays organized.

To start us off, we have an awesome video about Broca’s aphasia, which affects a person’s ability to produce fluent speech. This TED talk shows a really interesting therapy technique that can be used to elicit fluent speech from patients afflicted by this type of aphasia. If you don’t have time to watch the whole thing, we started it at 8:25, but you can watch the whole thing too!

Sorry for the long post! If you read to this point thank you and have a great weekend!
